Just a quick note to thank you all for the work you did and for the decision you reached
regarding United Water's proposal to increase rates for monthly billing. It is refreshing
to know that you take into account citizens comments and concerns regarding these proposed
increases. I am sure that sometimes increases are justified and necessary for utility
companies, as they are for any business. However, this proposed increase of over $ 1
million seemed totally exorbitant to me. As it is, I feel our water costs, especially in
the summer months, are quite high.
Anyway, thanks again for saying 'no'. Economic times are tough right now for a lot of
people, and this was the right decision to make.
