I disagree strongly. Boise City recently changed their utility billing cycle to bi-monthly, on alternating months from the UWI bills. That does enough monthly bill equalizing. It does not make it better for customers to write twice as many check, or to pay an extra $1.15 per month for their water. I believe this change and rate increase is only in UWI' s best interest. Please deny their request. It is a complete waste of my and other customers money . They can generate approximately the same monthly cash flow by having half of their customers bills due one month and the other half due the next month, leaving everybody on a two month billing cycle. Raising our prices just so they can hire more people to handle a self inflicted doubling of paperwork and meter reading does not make any sense.
