comment is re the notice of Application to increase rates that
was included in my current water bill. United Water is applying for an increase across
the board of 17.91% which I feel is totally ridiculous. Unfortunately, people s incomes
are not increasing at this high rate and especially not people who are retired and living
on a fixed income. A rate increase of this magnitude smacks of plain "greed.

i live out at the corner of chinden and eagle road in the hobble creek subdivision. we
have our own summer water in the form of pressurized irrigation that we are required to
pay $260 per year for. we very seldom use any more water in the summer than we do in the
winter, does this sound fair to you? arent you supposed to be watching out for us folks
who are often hoodwinked by foreign companies, ( united water ), a french company, or for
that matter the good old folks of the us and a? dont you think it is grossly unfair to
raise our water rates in the summer when we have other means to water our lawns and wash
our cars. would appreciate a reply as i am anxious to file suit aginst you and united
water if you should rej ect my supplication for relief, thanks,

Comment=descriptIon: ~ited water is fining for a 17.91% rate increase. I believe thisshould be categorically denied! United Water is price gouging us with their 25% punitive
rate increase each summer. When you add 17.91% to that it is a rate increase of almost43%. I think that is an outrageous amount to ask for.
On the other hand if the IPUC wanted to remove the 25% summer increase and replace it with
the 17.91% it would make more sense and I would not be opposed to that action.
At present the petroleum industry is in trouble for the so called price gouging they are
doing and it is not nearly as much as United water wants to do.
What we are forced to pay for water is already too high, please do not make it higher.
