Uni ted Water is talking about raising their rates again.
This is criminal. As it is during the summer months our bills are not less than $350 as
it is and that is using some irrigation water.
We usually have a garden that I supply alot of families that are struggling to make
ends meet that are the working class, and some to the foodbanks. Rather than having a new
house. As it is families are barely making it with kids and supporting a home.
During the summer months we are already getting hit hard, with electicity and water.
Do you realize how much, just 1 tree, let alone a yard, provides for cleaning the
pollution in our atmosphere for everyone.

Comment=descriptIon: I hope that you do not grant the United Water an increase. They
were given the ability to increase the rates in the summer time a few years ago and this
was a substantial burden on me as a homeowner, I conserve water but it still would be over
$100 per bill in the summer. If you want Idaho to look like the desert in Nevada, and
every body have dirt yards then go ahead. Also, this is a real burden for the elderly
that have to maintain their properties on fixed incomes. First, Idaho Power gets
increased then Intermountain Gas more than double their rates, along with the Sewer andTrash. Social Security benefits did not go up that much for these people so how are they
suppose to live? Now the water goes up.
If it wasn t bought by a foreign company, maybe the rates wouldn t be so high?
What about all the fields in Boise that are now 20-30 homes that are consuming more water
and giving them income. Doesn t that help with the infrastructure? I feel this way about
all the increases, including the increase in property taxes are unfair because of the
growth should add to their revenues enough.

is no where to be found. Can t make a negative comment if site not available. Maybe not
available on purpose.
My comment:
If rate increases are needed to meet costs of expansion, which include adding distributionfacili ties and treatment, let the new construction that is causing this need foot the
bill. It has long been the burden of old customers to foot the bill to make services
available to new customers, not just in this instance, but in alot of other areas. Let the
developers pay their way!
