The increase requested 17.91%, is too large and unfair to Idaho consumers. I f you compare
this to the CPI (Consumer Price Index) which is raising at approximate 2% per year, this
is far to large of an increase. The argument provided by the company that the need toreceive a return on it's investments cannot justify this large of an increase. If the
company would request something such as twice (4 %) or three (6%) times the CPI, it be morereasonable. IPUC, please do the right thing and reduce the amount requested by United
Water of Idaho to a reasonable level, preferrably as stated above. The consumers of Idaho
should not be punished by a company that cannot plan out a proper investment strategy forreturn.
