NOTICE OF HEARING
On February 10, 2006, United Water Idaho Inc. filed an Application with the
Commission for authority to increase its rates and charges for water service in the State of Idaho.
The Application requests a 17.91% average increase in overall rates. If approved, Company
revenues would increase by approximately $6 million. In Order No. 29988, the Commission
suspended the effective date of the proposed rate increase and established the deadline to petition
for intervention.
NOTICE OF SCHEDULING AND HEARING
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Staff and Company submitted the
following schedule to process the case. The Commission adopts the following schedule:

Deadline for Staff and Intervenors to submit discovery
requests to United Water.
May 5, 2006
May 19 2006 Deadline for United Water to respond to Staff and Intervenor
discovery requests.
June 2 2006 Deadline for Staff and Intervenors to submit pre filed direct
testimony, exhibits, and workpapers.
June 27, 2006 Deadline for all parties to submit prefiled rebuttal testimony,
exhibits, and workpapers.
July 12-14,2006 Technical Hearing at 9:30 a.m. at the Idaho Public Utilities
Commission s Hearing Room.

determined.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that discovery is available in this case pursuant to
Commission Rules of Procedure, IDAP A 31.01.01.221-234.

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the prepared testimony and exhibits must be
served upon the Commission and all other parties as set out in the schedule above. The prepared
testimony and exhibits must conform to the requirements of Rules 266 and 267 of the
Commission s Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.266-267.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the service address and the exhibit numbers
assigned to each party can be found in the Notice of Parties issued separately by the Commission
Secretary.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Company s proposal to change its water
service rate schedules is subject to the Commission s approval. The Commission may approve
reject or modify the requested changes in rate schedules. The Commission may determine
United Water s rates and charges in an amount other than proposed by the Company and/or the
spread or allocation or relative increase or decrease in any rate or charge may be other than that
proposed by the Company. The rates, charges, practices and tariffs of all customers of United
Water, including those governed by special contract, are at issue and subject to change in this
proceeding.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Company has filed direct testimony of its
witnesses along with their exhibits and workpapers. These documents are on file with the
Commission Secretary at the Commission s office (472 West Washington Street, Boise, Idaho)
where they may be reviewed as a matter of public record during regular business hours. The
Company s proposed schedules of rates and charges will also be kept open for public inspection
at the office of United Water Idaho Inc. (8248 West Victory Road, Boise, Idaho) during regular
business hours. Interested persons may also view United Water s Application at the websites of
the Commission (www.puc.idaho.gov) and the Company (www.unitedwateridaho.com
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all workshops and hearings in this matter
will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other
assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing
may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.
The request for assistance must be received at least five (5) working days before the hearing by
