Dear Ms. Jewell:
It has correctly been pointed out to me by Commission Staffthat a handwritten
interlineation in the Stipulation Between United Water and the City of Meridian filed on May 2
2006, has created an ambiguity in the Stipulation.
In the original typed version, paragraph 1 of the Stipulation read:
The areas denominated in the Application as Iron Horse, LDS Church at Linder
and Cloverdale may be included in United Water s service territory as requested
in the Application
By handwritten interlineation the parties substituted "Columbia" for "Cloverdale.
doing so, the parties were attempting to describe the LDS Church which is located at Linder and
Columbia. The parties overlooked the fact that there is a separate area described in the
Application denominated as Cloverdale Road.
This letter is intended to clarify that paragraph 1 of the Stipulation intends to refer to
three areas: Iron Horse, the LDS Church at Linder and Cloverdale Road.
Please accept my apologies for any confusion that has been created.
