Comment: "In re: 6449 rate increases Teton Water Dear Commissioners, It is understandable that our local water company needs to increase rates in order to fulfill its needs to provide
water to a rapidly expanding area in Teton Valley. However, an increase of 86% seems to be out of the ordinary. It is my thought that the company is raising rates (in part) to accommodate
future growth in our area. Growth that is already happening and will continue into the future. The question that arises, is whether future growth of the water system for new users should be
funded by current users? It is understandable that the increase includes, in part, potential redundancy with the drilling of new wells and is therefore of benefit to current customers.
What is difficult to understand is the responsibility for costs of those new wells when they will primarily service new customers/hook ups. In my way of thinking, the newly constructed
residential and commercial properties should shoulder a greater portion of the cost of these wells. Thank you Dan Hedrick Victor"
