Comment: "I recently received a letter informing me that Teton Water and Sewer has applied to raise their rates from $118/quarter to $220/quarter. This is an outrageous increase of nearly
87%! The reason given for this enormous increase was that demand was significantly increased beginning in 2019. Because the Board has a fiduciary responsibility to its customers,
can documentation be provided to support this obscene rate increase? Also, my house does not even have a meter and I am the only person residing in the home. Shouldn't rates be based on
usage and not flat rates. This seems to be the appropriate way to charge customers. And, the only fair way to apply rates/rate increases. I urge you to careful consider this rate increase. It
seems reasonable to me that the Board needs to first formulate a better plan for future housing growth as well as replacing aging infrastructure so rate increases will be more incremental and
equitable for all customers."
