Comment: "I just received a letter stating that the water and sewer rate are going to be increased from 118 to 220 a quarter which is a raise of almost 87 % (86.44 to be exact) The
justification in the letter I received was that demand had increased greatly ( example years 2019-2021) and I would like to see the figures that the demand was almost double from
previous years. The letter also states that there was not an increase from 2009 as if that was justification for such an incredulous increase. I don't know how this board is set up or whose
on it as this was never shared with me as a new owner, ( 2019) but having served on a board I know that they have a fiduciary clause to make sure things are budgeted and planned for in
advance and one would think that projects and reserves would be set aside. Clearly the board has not done its planning for future projects like drilling a new well. This should have been a
long range plan over the last 13 years with gradual increases . I clearly think this is miss management by the board and should be carefully looked into before allowing any raise of
almost double rates. As I said before I would like to see some records showing the almost double increase from 2019-2021 in water usage that they use as an excuse for such an
incredible increase. Also after reading the request from 2020 I have 2 questions. First I'd like to know the exact number of properties involved and secondly why this increase was not
addressed until now? Last year was the first time meters were installed so it appears the water and sewer board were not doing their duty in that department as well. Again I ask you to
please think carefully about this request as I think some big questions need to be answered. Is it not reasonable to hope that water and sewer boards are run in timely equitable manner? "
