Hi Jean,
I spoke with Scott the other day, and after thinking about what was discussed I have realized
that all three points being argued orally would result in higher charges to water fees if the
developer/water provider succeeds. I know that this is not widely known in our community,
and some of the charges that Teton Springs is attempting to charge are an insult to community
members. For example, they attempted to set up the water and sewer district even though
there was great opposition for it. They then attempted to push the sale through at a price
that the county determined was 3x its true market value by hand selecting the people that
would vote on whether or not we would purchase the system. Now, if I am understanding things
correctly they are attempting to get us to pay for this abuse???? Naturally, you can
understand why this would infuriate the Teton Springs community. If there is any chance of
them wining on any of the points presented on Friday
- let me know and I will do my best to have others express the same outrage that I have.
