I think 142% rate hike is way out of line in this economy. I own a duplex at 902 and 904
East Margaret Ave. I reside in 904 and rent out 902. I was laid off in 2009 and was a
temporary employee until April 2010 when I became a permanent employee. I have had to lower
my rent amount in order to rent my duplex out. Money is always tight, I can not afford a
142% rate hike, it is absurd to ask that much with the economy the way it is, people on
social security are not getting increases, people are out of work or hours have been cut
back. I don' t take vacations, I live very carefully and always watch my expenses and do not
live extravagantly at all.
