We can understand a rate increase after this number of years. Not being privy to the numbers
nor being familiar with this type of business, these 146 customers are pretty mûch reliant on
the IPUC. As a percentage 142% is a lot. Few families could handle these changes i f it
applied to all in their lives. As we have had many years of good service from Hoffman water
at a much reduced cost, please scrutinize that every dime is really justified. Thank you,

I think, that before we are required to pay a 142% rate increase, we should know what we are
getting for our money. Just because there hasn i t been an increase for years, doesn i t mean
there should be that large of an increase. What costs do the new owners have to cover? Are
they going to make upgrades on the system? How does this increase compare to other water
rates in Coeur D Alene?
It is fair that the owners make a profit, but nobody likes surprises and in this economy we
need to know where our money is going and what it is doing for us.
