TRH-IO- AMENDED NOTICE OF TELEPHONIC CUSTOMER HEARING ORDER NO. 32130 On June 7, 2010, Troy Hoffman Water Corporation (Troy Hoffman; Company) filed an Application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) requesting authority to increase its rates and charges for water service. Troy Hoffman provides water service to 146 residential customers and 1 commercial customer in the City of Coeur d' Alene, Kootenai County, Idaho. Troy Hoffman proposes a revenue increase of $34 262 (142%) for residential and commercial water customers effective July 1 , 2010. The Company has not had a rate increase for 14 years. Reference Case No. TRH-95-, Order Nos. 26545 and 28264. The Company states it is necessary to raise the rates due to increased operating expenses along with costs incurred from needed repairs and replacement of the main pump in 2009. Troy Hoffman proposes the following increase in rates and charges: Current Rates Proposed Rates Residential $5.50 per month plus $.60 per $13 .31 per month plus $1.45 per 000 gallons for all 000 gallons for all consumption in excess of 3 000 consumption in excess of 3 000 gallons per month gallons per month Commercial $7.50 per month plus $.60 per $18.15 per month plus $1.45 per 000 gallons for all 000 gallons for all consumption in excess of 3 000 consumption in excess of3 000 gallons per month gallons per month Customers are billed for water service on a bi-monthly basis. Additional charges (and changes) proposed by the Company are (1) changing the current $10 fee for Turn On Terminated Service to a Reconnection Charge of $20 during office hours (7-4 Monday thru Friday) and $40 after office hours; (2) imposing a Late Payment Fee of AMENDED NOTICE OF TELEPHONIC CUSTOMER HEARING ORDER NO. 32130 $10; and (3) charging a Returned Check Fee of $20. Also proposed is a change in the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Public Drinking Water Fee from a one-time $5. customer charge to a $.42 per month assessment fee. On June 23 , 2010, the Commission issued a Notice of Application in Case No. TRH- lO-OI and suspended the Company s proposed July 1 2010, effective date. AMENDED NOTICE OF TELEPHONIC CUSTOMER HEARING On October 21 , 2010, the Commission issued a Notice of Telephonic Customer Hearing establishing a December 9, 2010 telephonic hearing and the following call-in number for customers, i., 888-706-6468, Participant Code: 472404. To better receive oral public testimony from customers the Commission finds it administratively preferable to use a call- number with a queuing process and to issue an Amended Notice substituting such number. YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that a telephonic hearing for receipt of oral public testimony will be held on THURSDAY. DECEMBER 9. 2010 AT 8:00 P.M. (MST) IN THE COMMISSION HEARING ROOM. 472 WEST WASHINGTON STREET. BOISE. IDAHO. Persons wishing to offer testimony telephonically or listen to the proceedings may dial the following toll-free number: 1-800-920-7487 followed by the Participant Code: 76373262. The telephonic hearing will be held in the following manner: All participants will be able to hear the proceeding; . A participant's phone will be automatically muted except when testifying; If you would like to testify, press * 1 (star one) on your phone key pad. This will sign you up (put you in the queue) to testify; When it is your turn to testify, you will hear the prompt "ask your question." At that time, you will be sworn in, asked to state your full name, spell your last name, and give your full address; When you testify please be sure to eliminate any background noise, such as the TV , radio, etc., in order that your testimony can be heard clearly and recorded by the court reporter. At the conclusion of your testimony you may be asked questions; If at any time after you sign up to testify, you decide that you do not want to testify, simply push the # (pound) key on your phone and you will be taken (out of the queue) off the list to testify. AMENDED NOTICE OF TELEPHONIC CUSTOMER HEARING ORDER NO. 32130 Commission Staff will man the prior telephone number and redirect customers to the hearing room number. Commission Staff will provide individual electronic notice of the change to all customers who have provided their e-mail addresses in filed comments in this case. The Company will post flyers throughout its service territory notifying customers of the change. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the workshop and the hearing will be conducted pursuant to the Rules of Procedure adopted by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission IDAPA 31.01.01.000 et seq. ORDER In consideration of the foregoing and as more particularly described above, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED and the Commission hereby adopts the above Amended Notice of Telephonic Customer Hearing.
