SUBJECT:AT&T COMMUNICATIONS OF THE MOUNTAIN STATES, INC.
COMPLAINT AGAINST QWEST CORPORATION; CASE NO. QWE-
06-
On August 21 , 2006, AT&T Communications of the Mountain States, Inc. filed a
Complaint with the Commission against Qwest Corporation. The Complaint asserts that Qwest
failed to file certain interconnection agreements with third parties, to the detriment of AT&T.
The Commission issued a summons to Qwest to respond to the Complaint on September 6, 2006.
The Commission also granted Motions for Limited Admission filed by AT&T's out-of-state
counsel. Order No. 30125. Qwest timely filed its response to the Complaint as a Motion to
Dismiss on September 27 2006. On October 10 2006, AT&T filed a Motion for Extension of
Time to respond to Qwest's Motion to Dismiss, requesting that it be allowed until October 26
2006 to file its response to the Motion to Dismiss. The Motion states that counsel for Qwest has
orally agreed to such an extension on behalf of her client.
ST AFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that AT&T's Motion for Extension of Time be granted , and that
AT&T will be allowed until October 26, 2006 to respond to Qwest's Motion to Dismiss.
