RE:FRONTIER'S ADVICE NO. ID-06-05 INTRODUCING A NEW
RESIDENTIAL BUNDLE.
On October 5 , 2006, the Commission received Advice No. ID-06-05 from Citizens
Telecommunications Company dba Frontier Communications ofldaho (Frontier) to introduce a
new residential bundle called Frontier Digital Phone Service. This bundle is an optional basic
residential package that is available to all residential customers including those who receive
Lifeline support. The bundle includes Single Party Flat Rate Access Line, Call Forward Busy,
Call Forward No Answer, unlimited Extended Area Service, Voice Mail, Call Waiting, Cancel
Call Waiting, and Caller ID-name and number. To be eligible, residential customers must
subscribe to Basic Flat Rate Access Line service and be located where facilities and operating
systems are available. Frontier has requested an effective date of November 5, 2006.
STAFF ANALYSIS
Staff has reviewed the filing that includes detailed cost analysis and believes the new
residential bundle is priced above cost and also believes the revenue impact of this filing to be de
minimus. Staff, therefore recommends Commission approval.
