It appears that Stoneridge misrepresented the facts, as to having two operating water
wells at the time of taking over the HVR system. Had that been the case, they would have
been more than adequate to supply the needs of HVR and others, but one was out -of-service
and inoperable, so that required the drilling of another well at the cost of approx.$69,000. Now they want to increase our rates about 200 percent from a base rate of 14.
to 38.00 a mo. as well as adding a surcharge of 15 -20 a mo. to pay for the new well. We
think to increase is outragous, and the surcharge to cover the cost of the new well should
be Stoneridge ' s responsibli ty, since they misrepresented the facts, as to having twooperating wells in place.
