Comment: "To Whom It May Concern, In regards to making public comment on Suez's intentto raise rates by 22%, I want to voice my strong opposition to this change. It is discouraging
that Suez believes that its customers can assume these kinds of price hikes, especially duringthe COVID-19 pandemic. This proposal is a smack in the face of the idea that water is a public
utility. This price hike is effectively prohibitive and punative in nature. We do not have waterscarcity here, and adding a 22 cents per day to a bill that is already significant for many
subscribers will sink families and individuals trying their best to pay rising rent and taxes. Intheir public notice, Suez, for some reason, stated that these hikes would increase their revenue
as if this was some sort of selling point for why they should be allowed such an extremechange in their pricing. It matters to me that I can pay my bills during a pandemic and it
matters to me that I don't get priced out of my community simply because I want to use water,a necessity for life. It matters not that a foreign utility increases their profits on the backs of
Idahoans during a global pandemic."
