Comment: "This general rate increase request of 22.3% is a huge hit on residential customers especially those who water grass, flowers, trees and vegetables. I have a small residential lot in
west Boise and my water bill has averaged $40 per month which is way different than the$6.61 per month indicated as an average by SUEZ. I don't know how they got those numbers
but if you irrigate the costs are a lot higher. Many users are having tough times during the pandemic. Some have either lost jobs or now have to work one or two jobs to pay the bills.
Those on fixed incomes will have a difficult time paying for this increase along with all the other increases in cost of living. I just ask that you reduce this increase to a smaller amount,
say 10-12% which is probably more reasonable since they have a monopoly in providing the water. Many of us do not have access to canal water for irrigation."

Comment: "This complaint is directed to Suez and the proposed increase for community water rates.
I have lived here in Boise for 26 years. The growth in Boise is unprecedented. I know why suez wants
to raise rates! it is due to all the new subdivisions buying built. My neighborhood was built in 1975.
And has long ago paid for its infrastructure of water ways. Now we are being asked to pay for all the
rich people moving here from out of state. This is completely wrong! Why the hel@#$%^& would we
be required to pay for there new homes? The way I see it is if you have lived and payed for your
system for 25 years we should be exempt from this. The people who live in my neighborhood are
retired local workers. We can hardly afford the water rates now let alone a 22 percent increase. The
same goes for raising our taxes. If the city and State cant protect the people who built it? then who
can?? You need to protect your seniors not price them out of there homes. Rod Snyder"
