ORDER NO. 34942
On September 30, 2020, SUEZ Water Idaho, Inc. (“Company”) applied to raise the
rates it charges for water service. The Company requested an October 31, 2020 effective date.
On October 21, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, suspended the
Company’s proposed effective date of October 31, 2020 for 30 days plus 5 months, and set a
deadline for interested persons to petition for intervenor status. Order No. 34819. Micron
Technology, Boise City, Ada County, Intermountain Fair Housing Council, SUEZ Water
Customer Group, Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho, and Gannon et al.
(collectively the “Intervenors”) filed timely petitions and intervened in the case.
Order No. 34819 directed Commission Staff to confer with the parties about scheduling
after the intervention deadline passed. In a February 19, 2021 decision memorandum, Staff stated
it conferred with the parties and recommended a schedule for processing the case based on its
discussions with the parties. The Commission considered Staff’s recommendation at its February
23, 2021 decision meeting.
With this Order, we adopt the proposed schedule for this case and schedule a telephonic
technical hearing at which the parties may offer evidence and examine witnesses, and a telephonic
customer hearing at which customers and interested members of the public may testify before the
