SUZ-W-20-02 NOTICE OF SCHEDULING NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP NOTICE OF CUSTOMER HEARING NOTICE OF TECHNICAL HEARING ORDER NO. 34942 On September 30, 2020, SUEZ Water Idaho, Inc. (“Company”) applied to raise the rates it charges for water service. The Company requested an October 31, 2020 effective date. On October 21, 2020, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, suspended the Company’s proposed effective date of October 31, 2020 for 30 days plus 5 months, and set a deadline for interested persons to petition for intervenor status. Order No. 34819. Micron Technology, Boise City, Ada County, Intermountain Fair Housing Council, SUEZ Water Customer Group, Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho, and Gannon et al. (collectively the “Intervenors”) filed timely petitions and intervened in the case. Order No. 34819 directed Commission Staff to confer with the parties about scheduling after the intervention deadline passed. In a February 19, 2021 decision memorandum, Staff stated it conferred with the parties and recommended a schedule for processing the case based on its discussions with the parties. The Commission considered Staff’s recommendation at its February 23, 2021 decision meeting. With this Order, we adopt the proposed schedule for this case and schedule a telephonic technical hearing at which the parties may offer evidence and examine witnesses, and a telephonic customer hearing at which customers and interested members of the public may testify before the NOTICE OF SCHEDULING NOTICE OF TECHNICAL HEARING NOTICE OF CUSTOMER HEARING NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP ORDER NO. 34942 2 Commission. We also provide notice of a telephonic public workshop and prefiled testimony deadlines. NOTICE OF SCHEDULING YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that, based on discussion and agreement between the parties, the Commission adopts the following procedural schedule: Staff/Intervenor Prefile Testimony for parties March 17, 2021 Public Workshop March 25, 2021 Company Rebuttal Testimony April 7, 2021 Customer Hearing April 15, 2021 Technical Hearing April 20-22, 2021 YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all testimony and exhibits in this matter must comport with the requirements of Rules 231 and 267 of the Commission’s Rules of Procedure. NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that Staff will hold a telephonic, public, informational workshop for customers taking water service from the Company on THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 2021, AT 6:00 PM (MDT). The purpose of the workshop is to provide customers with an overview of the Application and Staff’s analysis regarding how the Company’s proposed rate increase would impact customers. At the workshop, customers may ask Staff about the Application and how customers may further participate in the proceeding. Company representatives will also be available. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Commission will hold a telephonic customer hearing at which customers and interested members of the public may testify on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 6:00 PM (MDT). IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Commission will hold a telephonic technical hearing for the parties to offer evidence and examine witnesses on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 1:30 PM (MDT). The telephonic technical hearing will continue Wednesday, April 21, 2021, and Thursday, April 22, 2021, if necessary.
