This taxincreases the cost of providing infrastructure to new home communities. Specifically, we paid over $67,000 in this tax for our Williamson River Ranch project in Eagle. This tax makes newhousing more expensive and seems to us to be a misguided program. Thanks. The project to connect with the SUEZ water system and abandon three wells we own was necessitated by DEQ regulationswhen higher than normal arsenic levels were found in our water supply shortly after several Harris Ranch subdivisions started bordering our community. Compliance with DEQregulations would have required expensive upgrades estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to our three wells, well beyond what the community felt it could afford. Optionsavailable to us were limited and it was felt that the better option was to hook up with Suez water. Unfortunately, the cost of this transition is turning out to be higher than expected. Thisis due in part by high contractor costs quoted by Suez as well as a tax levied by the Idaho Public Utility Commission on new developer projects. We feel that this is an unfair tax thatSuez intends to pass on to us. Furthermore our subdivision is not part of a new developer project as we have been in existence since the 1970s. Since our residents are already burdenedwith the high costs related to this project, this seems to be an additional burden to pass on. We respectfully request that you waive this fee that our community certainly cannot afford.Respectfully, 6600 GLACIER Josh Issac 208-440-4762 6601 GLACIER Charles, Cindy Barto 208-850-3383 6610 GLACIER Gary Huntington 208-420-3345 6612 GLACIER GaryHuntington 208-420-3345 6626 GLACIER Ursel Cullum 208-343-7222 6627 GLACIER Will and Julie Gehling 414-416-2244 6630 GLACIER Andrew, Megan Martinson 406-855-39936631 GLACIER Fred Sanders 208-794-1834 6644 GLACIER Tamara Dean 206-226-3326 6645 GLACIER Ric Johnston 208-850-3892 6650 GLACIER Tim and Sylvia Copeland 208-697-3919 6668 GLACIER Eric, Brandy Wilson 208-954-9553 6676 GLACIER Christopher Brazil 208-880-6281 6678 GLACIER Christopher Brazil 208-880-6281 6679 GLACIERRyan, Heather Richards 503-705-5162 6700 GLACIER Bill, Marsha Mulder 208-345-8988 6706 GLACIER Pete White, Nadine York 208-384-1904 6712 GLACIER Debbie Hardy 208-830-9748 6713 GLACIER Val, Karen Isle 208-387-0285 6718 GLACIER Jim, Barb Harshfield 208-345-0834 6719 GLACIER Robert, Meredi Wagner 208-367-0207 6724GLACIER Sharon Englesby 208-850-7868 6730 GLACIER Chris, Courtney Conner 208-342- 7763 6731 GLACIER Herve, M" ------[Open in the PUC Intranet application]
