EWC customers without exception have reported how great the water quality and service has beenover the decades they have been customers, and they speak of Robert with profound respect and appreciation. Many folks, me included, are exceedingly sad that Mr. DeShazo has becomean unwitting pawn in this attempted multinational corporate takeover of the small-town company that was his pride and joy for many decades. It is especially tragic considering thepart that certain members of Eagle City government with apparent conflicts of interest have played in facilitating this transaction by violating the trust and muting the voices of Eagleresidents. The argument has been made repeatedly that while written and verbal comments submitted by citizens have been overwhelmingly in opposition to the sale of EWC to Suez(Veolia), no other options to that sale have been offered by citizens. Please be advised that citizens are actively organized and working with water/utility experts on several alternativeoptions for maintaining local control of EWC. Judge Hippler ruled that if the IPUC denies the sale to Suez (Veolia), the lawsuit settlement the city agreed to becomes null and void. Thecitizens are prepared for that contingency and we look forward with enthusiasm to utilizing several viable and historically effective options open to us for buying and running the systemourselves after Eagle city officials have let us down. Please deny this sale to Suez (Veolia) and give the citizens the opportunity they deserve to preserve this critical natural resource for thoseof us living here now and for future generations. Thank you. " ------ Name: Shelley Brock Submission Time: Nov 9 2021 6:18PMEmail: ushorsepoor@yahoo.com Telephone: 208-559-6127Address: 8770 W Chaparral Rd.
