Comment: "I am STRONGLY opposed to the takeover of Eagle Water by the foreignconglomerate and for-profit company known as Suez. It is the duty of the Idaho PUC to ensure
that we, as citizens, have just and reasonable rates for our public utilities. An increase of ourcurrent rate by some 300% is NOT just and reasonable. On the face of this fact alone, the
PUC should be very hesitant to approve such a buyout. Based on the testimonies of everyonethat called in to the first telephonic conference, 100% of the residents opposed the
changeover... 100% This should be very telling. The only speaker who wanted the sale to gothrough was the Suez rep! What is the commission's rubric to decide to approve/deny the
sale? Is it 80% of residents expressing 'NO' ? Is it 51% ? You have the obligation to tell us,the people, what the specifics of your decision making process is going to be. Here are my
specifics reasons why I oppose the sale:My service is great, fair and reasonable at this time. A 300% rate hike is alarming and unacceptable. Suez has an awful reputation.Suez adds
chemicals to the tap water which are carcinogenic and toxic. I have to spend more money toREMOVE these chemicals. EWC provides safe and chemically-low alterated water. There has
not been a public offering for the business. Why not? There are very successful, wealthy andingenious residents of Eagle. They should have an opportunity to buy EWC first. Idaho PUC
has an obligation to protect our local aquifers, Suez plans to mix and combine with otheraquifers within a year. This corrupts our local water's purity. The dealings with the middle-
man, city of Eagle and the discreet sale to Suez is suspicious. The numbers are dubious. 4million in repairs?! Listen to your constituency, we strongly oppose this deal. Get creative.
Say no and let's work for a better solution. Most Sincerely, Jason Ford EWC Customer"

Regarding cases: SUZ-W-18-02 & EAG-W-18-01
I am STRONGLY opposed to the takeover of Eagle Water by the foreign conglomerate and for-profit company
known as Suez.
It is the duty of the Idaho PUC to ensure that we, as citizens, have just and reasonable rates for our public
utilities. An increase of our current rate by some 300% is NOT just and reasonable. On the face of this fact alone,
the PUC should be very hesitant to approve such a buyout.
Based on the testimonies of everyone that called in to the first telephonic conference, 100% of the residents opposed
the changeover... 100% This should be very telling. The only speaker who wanted the sale to go through was the
Suez rep!
What is the commission's rubric to decide to approve/deny the sale? Is it 80% of residents expressing 'NO' ? Is it
51% ? You have the obligation to tell us, the people, what the specifics of your decision making process is going
to be.
Here are my specifics reasons why I oppose the sale:
1. My service is great, fair and reasonable at this time. A 300% rate hike is alarming and unacceptable.
2. Suez has an awful reputation.
3. Suez adds chemicals to the tap water which are carcinogenic and toxic. I have to spend more money to
REMOVE these chemicals. EWC provides safe and chemically-low alterated water.
4. There has not been a public offering for the business. Why not? There are very successful, wealthy and
ingenious residents of Eagle. They should have an opportunity to buy EWC first.
5. Idaho PUC has an obligation to protect our local aquifers, Suez plans to mix and combine with other aquifers
within a year. This corrupts our local water's purity.
6. The dealings with the middle-man, city of Eagle and the discreet sale to Suez is suspicious.
7. The numbers are dubious. 4 million in repairs?!
8. Listen to your constituency, we strongly oppose this deal. Get creative. Say no and let's work for a better
solution.
