The over 200% raise in ourrates is ridiculous. Along with property tax increases it is pricing local folks out from living in Eagle especially seniors on fixed incomes." ------[Open in the PUC Intranet application] From:PUC Consumer Comments To:Jan Noriyuki Subject:Notice: A comment was submitted to PUCWeb Date:Sunday, June 13, 2021 4:00:03 PM The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Sandra Blackmer Submission Time: Jun 13 2021 3:26PMEmail: blackmers@gc.adventist Telephone: 301-801-4604Address: 1855 N Tullshire Way Eagle, ID 83616 Name of Utility Company: Suez Water and Eagle Sewer Case ID: EAG-W-18-01 Comment: "Even though we have Suez Water, research indicates that Suez has multiple waterquality Issues, failing infrastructure, a backload of customer service complaints, and history of consistent rate increases. Eagle Water has better water quality with no chemical injection.Suez, I've read that Suez "will mix this water with surface water from the Boise River, heavily treat it with chlorine and other chemicals, and likely send it to other areas of the Boise valleyto solve ongoing water quality issues they have there. Suez plans to dramatically hike rates as well. Also, I've read Suez is already pumping water from Redwood Creek around Eagle intothe foothills to serve Avimor and Hidden Springs; shouldn’t this water be reserved for growth between Eagle and Star? Why would Idahoans give up further local control of our mostprecious, life-sustaining natural resource to any foreign company whose fundamental goal is maximizing profits for their shareholders? Private water wells are reportedly running dry inmany areas of the Boise Valley – including in Eagle - from the crush of new development that has negatively impacted our aquifers. This disturbing reality has left a growing number ofcitizens with literally no viable options for a domestic water source. Sending water we need in our Eagle community to outlying areas for new, non-contiguous growth is NOT in the publicinterest." My impression of Suez has been negative from the beginning because of their constant phone calls and mail ads pushing to purchase additional "insurance policies" forproblems that could occur with pipes outside of our home. We purchased two of these before quitting--but Suez keeps sending additional correspondence to purchase even more of theseinsurance policies. I finally put a stop to the phone calls. It began to feel like a scam more than anything else. All these negative consequences of this sale for Eagle Water to Suez, amongothers, is why it seems prudent not to move forward with this sale!" ------ [Open in the PUC Intranet application] From:PUC Consumer Comments To:Jan Noriyuki Subject:Notice: A comment was submitted to PUCWeb Date:Sunday, June 13, 2021 3:00:06 PM The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Aislynne Fend Fend Submission Time: Jun 13 2021 2:31PMEmail: aislynne3@hotmail.com Telephone: 928-830-4736Address: 1367 West Colville Court Eagle, ID 83616 Name of Utility Company: Eagle Water Co Case ID: EAG-W-18-01 Comment: "I am strongly opposed to the sale of Eagle Water Company to Suez Water. SuezWater wants to obtain Eagle Water's excellent clean water to mix with its subpar water to create a solution for pollution is dilution. This will negatively impact all of Eagle Water'scurrent customers as we see increasingly poor water quality in our homes. Also, having been a customer of both in the past 5 years, I know that Suez tacks on huge "customer fees" that havenothing to do the cost of water. Please say NO to the sale if Eagle Water to Suez." ------ [Open in the PUC Intranet application] From:PUC Consumer Comments To:Jan Noriyuki Subject:Notice: A comment was submitted to PUCWeb Date:Monday, June 14, 2021 7:00:07 AM The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Cindy Madsen Submission Time: Jun 13 2021 7:15PMEmail: brasanex@gmail.com Telephone: 208-789-7070Address: 2617 E.
