will find malfeasance is the game.Check out their modus operandi in South America where they priced water so high

Comment:I am writing to protest the sale of Eagle Water Company to Suez.They have stated in their public information
that they intend to divert the water in Eagle to serve Northwest Boise customers and potentiallydecreasetheir water
rates.
Eagle customers should be able to benefit from the water in their own city,since these are Eagle wells.They also detail
numerous "benefits"that they will bring,some of which already exist with Eagle Water Company's management (24
hour emergency response,water safety,etc).The only two things I can see that they'd provide are website-based billing
and a rate increase.
Please keep Eagle's water supply serving Eagle customers and deny this sale.

I've seen Executive Session postings for some time (months)indicating that they were probably studying the possible
purchase of Eagle City Water.I would have much preferred that they were the successful bidder for this service.I am
very concerned about Suez'level of customer service and the likelihood that they'll raise rates more than is necessary

Comment:I have been an Eagle resident for 19 years and a very satisfied customer of Eagle Water Company.I
understand that the owner of that company wants to retire and is anxious to sell the company.I also know the city of
Eagle has been interested in purchasing the company in the past but wasn't able to "sell:that idea to the community.However,under the current circumstances,I think the citizens have a better understanding of the options,andsignificantconcernsovertherightstoourpreciouswaterbeingsoldtoahugeFrenchcompanyratherthanbeing
controlled by a local business or municipality.It appearsthat Suez went to great lengths to make this purchasewith NOpublicityandwithNOcompetitivebiddinginhopesofgettingthissaleapprovedbeforethepeopleandcommunityimpactedbythesalehadanopportunitytolookforotheroptionsoropposethesale.I am hoping that the IPUC willconsiderthemassiveoppositiontothissaleandthattherewillbetimeforustodomoreresearchandlearnaboutmoreoptions.As we've researchedthe issues,it has become clear that customers of Eagle Water Company have benefittedfordecadesfromartificiallylowrates.So,my opposition to the sale to Suez is less about higher rates than it is about thepoorserviceandbusinesspracticesthathavegivenSuezaD-rating by the Better Business Bureau and water that tastes
and smells like chlorine according to multiple past and current customers of Suez right here in the treasure Valley.
According to researchby the consumer advocacy nonprofit Public Citizen,"According to the non-profit consumer
advocacy org Public Citizen,"A top priority is cutting costs,because low costs mean higher revenues.So,Suez slashes
water system staffs to inadequate levels,fails to perform necessary maintenance,tries to delay or avoid altogether any
costly infrastructure investments,screams for higher rates,more money from government or both,and blames publicofficials,or just the public,for all the company's problems.Customers end up paying more for less."I ask that you deny
this sale and also provide additional time for residents and the City of Eagle to investigate options that will maintain our
water quality,and keep our precious water rights under local control.At this time,the City of Eagle and the citizens are
very interested in coming up with an alternative to giving our water away to a multinational corporation that has no
interest in our community.I believe we can find a way to achieve this if we have a little time to work on this together,
PLEASE don't approve this sale!

Comment:I am opposed to the acquisition of Eagle Water via Suez for many reasons.I am requesting the PUC put a
hold on this sale until the homeowners and city council have adequate time to review the consequences.
The homeowners were notified the sale would occur only a few weeks ago,which is not fair to the homeowners.
We are losing our rights to the well for our 2400+homeowners,and this water could be used for any purpose that Suez
chooses.This could affect our water pressure,lack of a green lawn which affects our property values.It could be
rerouted for farming water requirements.
We do not have irrigation to water our lawns and are dependent on the well,I would expect that the costs would be
much higher than published.There are many seniors in our neighborhood,and our current bills are around $8.00 a
month,I asked other customers of Suez water and there bills in summer are $150.00 to $200.00 a month.
I feel that Suez has an obligation to provide more information to the homeowners.
