Comment:I understand that Suez is interested in buying Eagle Water.As an Eagle Water user for the past 13 years,I amconcerned.From my research,many people have concerns about the quality (taste,smell,looks,etc)of water that Sueznowprovidesit's customers.I have also heard from others that their customer service is poor.Finally,as I understandtheirproposedrateincreases,my $8.25 per month bill (a low volume water user)could go up by as much as 300%overthenextthreeyears.I strongly encourage the Commission to look closely at this purchase request and please keep inmindthewaterusersasconsumersofthisimportantutility.Significant adjustments or even denial of this request maybeinorder.Certainly those of us who are low volume users should be rewarded for our water conservation.Thank youforyourtime.

Comment:I implore the Idaho Public Utilities Commission not to approve the purchase of the Eagle Water Company bySuez.A large percentage of Eagle Water customers are retired and living on fixed incomes.Despite the informationthatSuezhassubmittedontheirapplication,we know from other Suez customers that our costs for water usage are going tobeconsiderablyhigherthanwhattheyaresaying,possibly up to 8 to 10 times what we are currently paying.We cannotaffordsuchhugeincreasesforwaterusageandknowthatthedilemmawefacewillfallondeafearswhenitcomestoSuez.We have always hoped that the City of Eagle would at some point purchase Eagle Water because,under thatcircumstance,our rates would probably increase but certainly to nowhere near the extent that Suez will do so.PleaseletthecitizensofEagleknowwhatcanbedonetopreventthissale.Thank you.

has a dubious performance and service record in Idaho and elsewhere,and has stated that it plans to drastically increase
rates.These proposed rate increaseswill have a significant negative impact on residents within the affected area and are
unacceptable.Additionally,while I recognize the need for periodic improvements to Eagle's water infrastructure,itwouldbeshortsightedtocedelocalcontrolofEagle's water supply and infrastructure to a foreign multinational
corporation like Suez in order to make such improvements.
