COMMISSIONER HANSEN COMMISSION SECRETARY LEGAL WORKING FILE FROM:MARIL YN PARKER DATE:AUGUST 17 2006 RE:TARIFF ADVICE NO. 06-06 - COMPANY NAME CHANGE FROM UTAH POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER; AND CANCELLATION OF SCHEDULE 20120 CUSTOMER CHALLENGE PROGRAM RIDER. BACKGROUND On August 14 2006, PacifiCorp submitted Tariff Advice No. 06-06 for the purpose of updating its Tariff LP.c. No. 1. to reflect the name change from Utah Power and Light Company to Rocky Mountain Power. Also included in the Tariff Advice is a request to cancel Schedule 20/20 Customer Challenge Progran1 Rider (see attached). This program ended in September of 2001. STAFF COMMENTS In reviewing the legislative copy ofthe Tariff changes submitted by Rocky Mountain Power, all changes were related to the name change. Therefore, Staffrecommends that the Tariff changes be approved. Regarding the cancellation of Schedule 20120 Staff recommends that it be removed from the Company s Tariff because this Schedule is no longer in effect. COMMISSION DECISION Does the Commission wish to approve the changes made to the Tariffs to reflect the new nan1e of Rocky Mountain Power from Utah Power and Light Company? No. 28 Original Sheet No. 2020 UTAH POWER & LIGHT COMPANY (N) ELECTRIC SERVICE SCHEDULE NO. 2020 STATE OF IDAHO 20/20 Customer Challenge Program Rider AVAILABILITY: At any point on the Company s interconnected system. APPLICATION: This Schedule shall be applicable to all Customers taking service under Schedules I or 36. This Schedule shall not be applicable to any Customer who has not had continuous service at the same location under Schedules 1 or 36 since September 2000. MONTHLY BILL: All charges and provisions of the applicable rate schedule will be applied in determining a Customer s bill except that, for bills rendered in the months of July, August and September 2001 , any qualifying Customer whose average daily kWh usage is between 80% and 90% of the average daily kWh billed to the Customer at the same location in the corresponding month in 2000, shall have the total electric bill for the current month reduced by 10%. For bills rendered in the months of June, July, August and September, 2001, any qualifying Customer whose average daily kWh usage during the same period is 80% or les~ of the average daily kWh billed to the Customer . at the same location in the corresponding month in 2000, shall instead have the total electric bill for the current month reduced by 20%. The determination ofthe 10% or 20% reduction shall be after application of Schedule 99.(N) Submitted Under Advice Letter No. 01- ISSUED: April 17, 2001 EFFECTIVE: With bills rendered from June 1 2001 through September 30, 2001
