Re:Rate Increase
Gentlemen:
I received a letter from the Spirit Lake Water Company,in which they
advised that they are requesting a 110%increase in rates.I wish to lodge my
objection to an increase of any more than about 5%.In as much as the
present economy is quite depressed, some fifty million Americans are
without work, anything more than 5%would be ludicrous and oppressive.
The present economy suggests that everyone is suffering in an effort to
survive.Taking into consideration the fact that I appreciate Spirit Lake
Water Company’s need to receive permission to increase their income to help
them through these times, anything more than 5%would be extremely
destructive to their customers.
Please appreciate that we in the Spirit Lake complex are a captured cliental
without options to switch to another supplier as well as being prohibited
from digging wells and thus subject to an oppressive environment that puts
us at the mercy of a company that has a monopoly.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sincerely
Anthony Mgan
