I received a letter regarding a rate increase of 106% that is being sent to you for
approval. I am against that large of a rate increase especially during these economic times.
I would not expect to get a salary increase of that amount and yet we are supposed to suffer
large utility hikes without a problem. I think if a rate increase is needed it should not
exceed 10%, although that even is high for an annual fee hike, and 2-47o would be more
appropriate. If our current water provider thinks this is acceptable, perhaps we should be
shopping around for a different provider.
