This weekend December 15 & 16 shows that the the Spirit Lake East Water system should not
receive a rate hike. At about 0000 hrs on 12-15-2006 we lost electric power in Spirit
Lake East, by 0030 there was no water indicating that the patch job compliance was a
failure and reaffirms that the water system was poorly engineered from the begining and
still is and Spirit Lake East Water (Hanson) wants the customers to pay for what SLEW
should have done in the begining. It should also be noted that a repair job by a
contractor for SLEW dug up the road for repairs done a very poor job of repairing the road
(Liberty Drive) and you can not get anyone involved to claim responsibility.
