PUC staff in Rigby to answer questions for water customers
Staff from the Idaho Public Utilities Commission will conduct a workshop for the customers of a Rigby area water company on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the Rigby Senior Citizens Center.
Rocky Mountain Utility Company, Inc., which is the water provider for customers in the Pepperwood Crossing Subdivision about four miles south of Rigby, is asking the commission to approve a new monthly flat rate of $42, up from the current $28.50.
The company currently serves about 38 households with the capacity to eventually serve 255 in up to three other planned subdivisions in the same area. According to the company’s application, the owner/manager is Jim Bernard of Rigby and the certified operator is Jeff Ireland.
The purpose of the workshop is to provide customers with an overview of the company’s application and be available to answer questions. Representatives from the company may also be present to answer questions.
The workshop begins at 7 p.m. in the Senior Citizens Center at 391 Community Lane in Rigby.
Interested persons may also file written comments on the company’s application by no later than Sept. 12.
