The company currently serves about 38 households with the capacity to eventually serve up to 255. According to the application, the owner/manager is Jim Bernard of Rigby and the certified operator will be Jeff Ireland. The company also requested that the Idaho Public Utilities Commission approve a monthly flat rate of $42 beginning July 1. The commission suspended that effective date for up to six months to allow more time to investigate the request. In the meantime, the commission is implementing an interim monthly flat rate of $28.50. Interested parties who want to intervene in the case for the purpose of presenting evidence or cross-examining witnesses at hearings must file a petition to intervene with the commission by no later than July 7. As the case progresses, the commission will announce dates for a public comment period and possible workshops and/or hearings. Those seeking to provide written comments or participate in hearings or workshops do not need to file a petition to intervene.
