SUBJECT: RICKEL WATER COMPANY, INC. AND BITTERROOT WATER
SYSTEM,INC., CASE NO. RrC-W-17-01
On July 28, 2017, Rickel Water and Bitterroot Water jointly applied to the
Commission to consolidate the two companies into one. The Company states that the two
companies are interconnected, share common ownership, and operate under the same rate
structure. It notes further that the change would increase efficiency, and eliminate duplicative
costs, including licensing and insurance. The combined company would operate as Rickel Water
Company, under the Rickel Water Company CPCN. The Bitterroot CPCN would be canceled.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission issue a Notice of Application and set an
September 5,2017 intervention deadline. Staff further recommends that once any intervenors
have been determined, Staff convene an informal scheduling conference to develop a schedule to
process this case.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish to issue a Notice of Application, set an September 5,2017
intervention deadline, and after that deadline, direct Staff to convene an informal conference to
discuss the appropriate scheduling of this case going forward?
