Comment:I understand that the commission is considering an asset transfer from Packsaddle Estates Water Corporation
to Packsaddle Water Systems Inc.I don’t have comment on the transfer but if the transfer is approved I request that the
commission continue regulatory authority over the new entity.
As a Packsaddle water user and part year resident I fear that my interests and other minority interests may be taken
advantage of by the new company without due process.
Potential disputes will arise because of the greatly varying size,terrain,uses and occupancy rates of the users.
I have already received a letter in late March of this year from the new company indicating disconnection is not allowed
for any amount of time and the reconnect fee,as shown on the IPUC web site fee schedule for Packsaddle,was no
longer valid.The new company then sent me a bill for water beginning in March even though I’m currently disconnected
from their system.
I would therefore request that dropping regulated status for this new company should only be considered during a
formal hearing with stake holders given adequate time for discovery.
