I have had the system for eight plus years and have not had any profit yet. As you know I invested money and machine time to upgrade the system after I purchased it in 2002. I would like to recpe my investment and do some more up grades to my system. l would like to install meters through out the system so i can track where the water is going. l have customers with leaks that never notify me and creates pressure problems for other people on the system. I also have to hire a certified operator for the system, which wil add to my cost I have looked into other water company rates and have found they are $45 for 3/4 inch line. They are also metered so that goes up in the summer months. I have two rental homes in East Showshone water dist. and the rate is 42.50. My water bil at my home is Qver $100.00 a month in the summer for Cataldo water. Joe leckie has the bil I submitted. When I purchased the system my power bil was $50.00 per month. In 2008 my power bil was $1813.00. The water testing rates have gone up as well as taxes. I need to invest in another backhoe to do repairs. The transmition is out of mine. I am requesting a rate increase to $40.00 per month for a 3/4 inch line. 1 inch line should be more. Fées for a 3/4 inch commerical line to be $60.00. Fees for 1 inch commericalline to be more, What ever the PUC sees to be fair. Fees for a 2 inch commerical line to be $75. I also request some rule changes, # 1 New customer hookup fees to be increased from $800.00 to $2,000 plus part and labor. Other companies like Central Shoshone are $6700.00, plus parts and labor. I feel new customers should pay for the investment that has been made into the system, as well as help renew the company fund for upgrades in the future. # 2 For customers on the system that are shut off and not using water, there should be a fee charged for up keep to maintain the system. What ever the PUC sees fair. I know Central Shoshone has a $24.00 a month charg. # 4 The shut off and on fee to be raised to $50.00 from April 1 to Oct. 1 and from Oct 1 to March 31 to be $75.00 or what ever the PUC see as fair. Thanks you for your help in this matter. Arlen Ush -
