I am opposed to the water rates that Mayfield Springs Water Company are trying to charge me
for a number of reasons which follow.
1.) When we purchased the lot we were told that the water system was part of the subdivision
and now we are being charged by a for profit water company.
2.) I believe this system was overbuilt since Greg Johnson told us last year at our first
homeowners meeting that this system would service 10000 homes and our rates would go down as
more homes hooked up to it. Since this meeting he has said it services 2000, i00, 100, etc
and so I have no confidence that we wont be paying for a pump house and rates that will in
the end make him a ton of money as more subdivisions are tied into this around us.
3.) I have no idea where our hook-up fee i s have went as he has never provided any accurate
information about what it costs to operate and build out the system.
4.) He has been operating a water company illegally and has sent me numerous bills with late
fees attached for 1.5 years now and continues to hound us for fees that he has no right to
collect.
5. ) I would encourage you to do a detailed analysis of the costs for all parts of this
system and not count on his water consultants rates he has hired this gentleman to look out
for his best interest and not in the best interest of the homeowners of Arrowrock Ranch.
6. ) We have already won a court ruling that says he has been operating a water company
illegally and I want all past fees lowe eliminated and all the late fees eliminated and I
would like the PUC to take action against Greg Johnson for knowingly operating this water
company illegally as he has previously met with the PUC and was told by several PUC employees
the process for filing which he did not do for nearly a year after knowing he had to. I
would encourage you to require him to pay back all fees that he has collected from all
homeowners in the subdivision while operating illegally and take any legal action against him
that you are able to take.
7. ) We lack total confidence that Greg Johnson is an honest man as he has proven several
times that he is not when performing on behalf of the subdivision.
