NECESSITY.

On February 5 , 2008, Mayfield Springs Water Company filed an Application
requesting a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide water service near
Kuna. On March 3 , 2008 , the Commission issued Order No. 30512 setting interim rates and
charges for the Company.
On April 25, 2008, the Company filed an Amended Application. The Amended
Application proposed higher rates than the Commission approved in Order No. 30512 and
requested an effective date of August 1 2008.
Given the demands upon the Commission s time, the Commission will be unable to
consider and issue an Order before the proposed effective date of August 1 , 2008. Consistent
with the Commission s authority under Idaho Code 9 61-623 , the Commission finds that it is
reasonable to suspend this matter for a period of thirty (30) days from August 1 , 2008. The
suspension will allow the Commission sufficient time to consider the matter and issue its Order.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the proposed rates and charges contained in the
Company s Amended Application shall be suspended for a period of thirty (30) days from
August 1 , 2008 or until such time as the Commission may enter an Order suspending, rejecting,
or modifying the Application and Amended Application in this matter.
