RE:CHANGES TO IDAHO POWER'S GREEN TARIFF; ADVICE NO. 06-
On April 19, 2006 , Idaho Power submitted a tariff advice to change terms of its Green
Energy Purchase Program (Green Energy) to allow individuals and entities that are not direct
customers to participate in the program. The Green Program is a voluntary program approved by
the Commission in Order No. 28655. Under the program as currently structured, customers may
voluntarily identify a fixed dollar amount per month that they will contribute to the Company,
which is dedicated to the purchase of green energy, or to cover the green energy price premium.
The amount of the monthly contribution is added to the customer s bill.
Under the proposed changes, entities that are not direct customers, such as the tenants of
commercial buildings for which the energy service is in the name of the property manager, could
choose to participate and would receive a monthly invoice for their Green Energy contribution.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff supports the Green Energy program and as this change will expand the program, yet
still remain totally voluntary, Staff recommends approval of this Tariff Advice.
