On May 3, 2016 Morning View Water Co. received a call from our lawyer,
Rob Harris informing us that although he had secured our water rights for
properties served by Morning View Water Co several years ago, there is
now a new threat. There is a new law suit that targets our subdivision for an
extreme limitation of water. It states that homes could use potable water
only and not be able to water lawns. This is happening right after the
$530,000 installation of the new well.
Rob Harris advised that we join a local mitigation group to fight for our
water rights. To date we have paid $936.00 to join the group and we will
have a yearly continuing fee of$400. We have paid our attorney $164.00
and will continue to have bills such the $82.00 we just paid. for his services
as he keeps us abreast issues and developments and fights for our water
rights.
We are requesting that these new ongoing expenses be included for the
commission's consideration in determining the rate for Morning View Water
Company's customers. We project the $400.00 fee plus about $300.00 in on
going lawyer fees each year. Thank you for your consideration.
